i had been looking forward to meeting ryder for a very, very long time. you may remember when i photographed him still in his mama’s belly on my last trip to austin, texas, covered in ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate and all sorts of gooey sweetness! see those photos of the biggest ice cream party EVER by clicking HERE! of course, we had to incorporate the ice cream party theme into his newborn photos, too. along with that, ryder’s mama was in and out of the hospital during the duration of her pregnancy, on bedrest for months, gained the honorary title of “supermom” and beat the odds by carrying him past full term and birthing a big, healthy SUPERBABY of her own! i thought it only fitting that the superbaby have a cape (and we couldn’t leave his brothers out of the fun too)…
You do think so out of the box for newborn shoots–so refreshing.
