ready for the most lovely winter wonderland? this session was so dreamy. i have been photographing the lindas family for years and had always heard stories about their wonderful memories spending time in their happy place up at mammoth mountain. when it came time for this year’s shoot they very kindly invited me and my little family up to mammoth to make some memories and also photograph their family in some of their super secret, lovely happy places up there (double awesomeness)! it was breathtaking. we went up just before christmas and began their shoot at a lake they love to go to in the summers and built a driftwood teepee there by the shore, surrounded by mountain peaks covered in snow and mama read them the night before christmas. they skipped some stones and wandered a bit and then headed up the mountain to an open-air old chapel built of wooden logs (that was almost completely snow covered – we basically swam ourselves in!) for some sledding and snuggling. nothing about the session was forced and everything felt like it had been sprinkled with christmas magic.
And such a lovely family! xx
