]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/lucas/feed/ 6 Ryder… the SUPERBABY!!! http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/ryder-the-superbaby/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/ryder-the-superbaby/#comments Thu, 24 Jun 2010 19:27:28 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=2451 i had been looking forward to meeting ryder for a very, very long time.  you may remember when i photographed him still in his mama’s belly on my last trip to austin, texas, covered in ice cream, sprinkles, chocolate and all sorts of gooey sweetness!  see those photos of the biggest ice cream party EVER by clicking HERE! of course, we had to incorporate the ice cream party theme into his newborn photos, too.  along with that, ryder’s mama was in and out of the hospital during the duration of her pregnancy, on bedrest for months, gained the honorary title of “supermom” and beat the odds by carrying him past full term and birthing a big, healthy SUPERBABY of her own!  i thought it only fitting that the superbaby have a cape  (and we couldn’t leave his brothers out of the fun too)…

]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/ryder-the-superbaby/feed/ 14 Jaylee, two weeks new. http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/jaylee-two-weeks-new/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/jaylee-two-weeks-new/#comments Fri, 04 Jun 2010 22:51:21 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=2253 meet jaylee!   i photographed this sweet family not long ago while she was still in her mama’s belly… view those photos HERE!   a very special blanket was knit years ago by jaylee’s grandmother just waiting for the moment that this little grand baby would come along (the blanket she is wrapped in below!).  her grandma is not doing well now and can no longer knit so it made a wonderfully sweet addition to jaylee’s first official photos. jaylee’s parents also own a cool second hand store which gave me the idea of using our new/old vintage record player in the shoot.  it was starting to warm up outside so i dragged the record player and one of my favorite benches outside, we played in the garden, jaylee smelled a few flowers and we called it a day.  a lovely, lovely day.

We had the pleasure of Joy photographing our 1 week old son, Dashiell Orson.  We are over the moon with the pictures.  Not only are the some of the most beautiful photographs we have ever seen, but Joy makes the photo session so easy.  She is a pro with babies…. she had calming techniques we’ve never seen!  She is like the baby whisperer.  A very talented and lovely young lady.  Thank you again! xoxo
