Wildflowers Photography » birthday http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog Blog Mon, 30 Apr 2012 21:22:20 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.3.2 Little Surfer Girl turns ONE! http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/little-surfer-girl-turns-one/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/little-surfer-girl-turns-one/#comments Thu, 06 May 2010 15:33:08 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=1868 lily has grown a year in the blink of an eye.  i photographed her mama & daddy while she was in the belly (with the surfboard), then when she was 13 days old (with the surfboard) – you can view that post here - and again, now, in celebration of her first year of life (with the surfboard)! lily’s mama had the board made for lily’s daddy as a wedding gift… it was to be the board he would teach their future children to surf on.  she even wrote an inscription on it promising to always support the things he is passionate about.  she has sure stayed true to her promise but i am guessing they spend a little more time climbing on the surfboard at home than in the ocean these days – this daddy is just over the moon with his baby girl!  along with the board, they also brought along her best puppy friend, sula, and a teeny little bottle of champagne to toast lily’s first year (oh, how things can change in a year, right?!).  so… here’s to you, sweet lily!  xoxo

]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/little-surfer-girl-turns-one/feed/ 5 My Gracie is THREE! http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/my-gracie-is-3/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/my-gracie-is-3/#comments Mon, 25 Jan 2010 08:32:40 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=1203 i love that when i asked her to smile for my camera, instead she lifted her dress up over her head and started shaking her tushy. i love that when i gave her the jellybeans, she scattered them all over her piano and said she was “just giving the songs a prettier outfit”.  i love that she (of course!) decided to put 45 tattoos all over her arms and legs the day before this planned photo shoot.  she is her own girl now… my baby is three.  so that’s three years since my heart has been walking outside of my body, which scares me and humbles me every moment of the day.  but she is the sweetness that is worth rolling out of bed for before the sun comes up and the joy that reminds me to press on.  i wanted this shoot to be full of her favorite things… making up silly songs, playing her piano, dancing like crazy, colorful candy, sweet smelling flowers, the letter “G” and sprinkle donuts.  here is my gracie in all of her birthday girl glory.

 as you can tell from the faces below… their cupcakes are very, very yummy!
