]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/a-few-holiday-highlights/feed/ 7 Kate & her tea party. http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/kate-her-tea-party/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/kate-her-tea-party/#comments Tue, 16 Nov 2010 21:07:13 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=3327 kate’s mama had told me that there was nothing her daughter loved more than playing with her stuffed animals, pink, tea parties, her books and all things girly.  so they packed up their car with goodies, i packed up mine and we headed out to a meadow to give little miss kate the tea party of her (and her stuffed animals’) wildest dreams.   :)   kate may have a famous mama (brooke co hosts CNN’s Showbiz Tonight!) but she is the one that really stole the show!  she was prancing around in that meadow, picking wildflowers, poking her head in holes and singing to the birdies.  the sunshine was dreamy(!!!) and we finished the shoot with kate in her stroller laughing uncontrollably at her parents cuddling for me in front of the camera.  a very happy shoot indeed.   :)

]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/kate-her-tea-party/feed/ 6 Nicole Sullivan & her very fun family! http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/nicole-sullivan-her-very-fun-family/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/nicole-sullivan-her-very-fun-family/#comments Mon, 18 Oct 2010 19:02:33 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=3179 meet jason, nicole, dash & beckett!   i had the honor of photographing little beckett last year and we all had such a blast taking awesomely untraditional newborn photos.  i will say that it was the first time i ever photographed a family in the pool with a giant blow-up duck but it turned out to be one of the highlights of my year (definitely one of the perks of photographing a family of comedians)!  so when nicole and i were prepping for the shoot this time, i knew it was going to be a fun.  one of their favorite books is Caps for Sale so they brought that along with their collection of caps and a hearty sense of adventure.  we made mustaches out of pipe cleaners, played in a homemade tent out in the wilderness, climbed some trees, snacked, drew some family pictures and did a lot of laughing.  can’t wait for next year!

(times two!) http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/new-york-baby-times-two/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/new-york-baby-times-two/#comments Mon, 04 Oct 2010 07:42:39 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=3111 say hello to baby girl maya & baby boy khai (and their parents, natalie & ron) photographed in NYC!!!   i photographed natalie and ron’s wedding a little over two years ago and i remember her telling me over and over how much she couldn’t wait to get pregnant so i could photograph her babies!  i think she must have known how much i love to photograph newborn twins because they were blessed twice over!  when they asked me to come to new york, the only photo request that i knew in advance was to try and get a shot of the babies with the new york stock exchange in the background (daddy works there).  well, imagine my photographer’s glee when i arrived and saw that they lived in the building just across the street and the terrace looked directly toward the monument… ahhmazing. it had been raining for days but it stopped just long enough to be able to shoot for a bit in that dreamy, dreamy spot.  i heart NY & this sweet little family!  xoxo

]]> http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/mike-marys-engagement-sneak-peek/feed/ 17 A happy day with the Reed Family… http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/a-happy-day-with-the-reed-family/ http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/a-happy-day-with-the-reed-family/#comments Mon, 30 Aug 2010 20:25:15 +0000 Joy http://wildflowersphotos.com/blog/?p=2929 i heart this family.  before their shoot, shauna (the mama) had sent me her favorite photograph of her mother that was taken before she passed away.  it was of her in the middle of a wonderfully big laugh… the kind of laugh that spread across her face, squinted her eyes and just felt like home.  that photo is how she loves to remember her mother and it was exactly the way i knew i wanted to photograph shauna.  if you look at the photos below you will see that she has that same smile and i can also attest to the face that her laugh is very much contagious and has spilled out into the lives of her children and her husband that she loves to kiss oh so much.  we started our shoot at my favorite little cupcake shop (cupcakery!) followed by a very fun little picnic (how adorable is shauna’s handmade “oh happy day!” banner!?) followed by some hugging in a field at sunset.  and OH, what a HAPPY DAY is was.   :)
