when i arrived at this family’s home, they were all out back (on the beach) building a boat out of bamboo and driftwood in the sand. they were barefoot, giggling like crazy and it was such a beautiful moment as the sun was setting. we had planned to start the shoot inside but once i caught a glimpse of their fort, we just stayed out there awhile. the thing i love most about these images is that they we were just doing what they love to do… and they are allllll boy. i have a little inkling that these three little bears may have gotten those boy instincts from their incredibly brave and manly papa, bear grylls (best known from his show, Man Vs. Wild). this was a fun one…

Stephanie - So cute! Ahhhhh life with all boys. Right up my alley
Gwen Moore - Those parents will be forever grateful that you decided to “stay out for awhile.” Awesome captured moments. I can almost smell the spray and hear the surf. Those boys are showing their hearts so clearly you just want to hug them. Priceless treasures. Beyond delight, beyond enjoyment, you are giving tender memories a home for years to come.
jenny haas - i absolutely love everything about these
the way you captured them in their reality is perfect…absolutely adorable.
McKenzie - I am just so in LOVE with your photographs! Never posed, but always perfect. You catch the sweetest memories on camera — a skill that I’ve always strived for but never quite mastered. I just recently posted the shoot of your daughter Gracie and her ‘boyfriend’ Zeke from Green Wedding Shoes. Thanks for sharing all that you do — it’s fabulous!!
Victoria / Justice Pirate - This is so beautiful!
Sarah - I know this is an old one, but I was back-reading and found this GEM! So real! Love it and how the sweet personalities of these boys were captured in that uh-mazing light!
