Vennard Family, Sneak Peek!

just a few teasers from this AMAZING newborn/family session.  this shoot was a personal challenge for me because i was shooting another photographer – the mama + her baby was an older newborn and just out of the curly stage + she didn’t want the typical “baby in a basket” shots or anything she could shoot herself + we were shooting just after days of rain in a big muddy field + we shot in the middle of the day (no pretty morning light or afternoon golden hour where i feel the “safest” for getting great photos with the sunlight) = serious pressure for this photographer!  besides all that pressure, i actually love that when i shoot another photographer’s family, they are always game to do the crazy and dirty stuff for great shots.  as an example… my favorite shot of the whole shoot is the second one below in b&w…. so intimate and peaceful and totally them (but they were covered in mud head to toe when they all stood up out of the muddy grass after this.   thank you, vennard family!  :)
